BBVA brings AI into structured products platform to reshape investment workflow
BBVA is integrating artificial intelligence into its ePricer platform, allowing clients to generate investment ideas, monitor positions and manage structured products within a more connected digital workflow.
BBVA is expanding the use of artificial intelligence across its Corporate & Investment Banking business, integrating new AI capabilities into its ePricer digital platform for structured products.
The Spanish banking group said the latest release introduces “On The Fly Ideas”, a feature designed to generate additional investment ideas based on structures that a client is already pricing.
The development is part of a broader redesign of ePricer intended to bring idea generation, pricing and lifecycle management closer together within a single workflow. BBVA said the platform will also provide new tools for monitoring live positions, while its redesigned interface is intended to make the process more connected.
The latest release also marks the beginning of the integration of BBVA Intelligence, the bank’s AI capabilities, into ePricer. Further functionality is expected to be introduced progressively.
The move highlights how investment technology is increasingly moving beyond automation of individual processes towards tools that can influence how financial products are originated and managed.
For structured-products businesses, the ability to surface potential ideas while a client is already working on a transaction could bring research, structuring and execution closer together. It also illustrates the growing convergence between traditional capital-markets infrastructure and AI-enabled investment workflows.
BBVA has been expanding its wider AI strategy throughout 2026. Its investor-relations newsflow shows that the bank has also been extending AI into other areas of its corporate banking operations.
The ePricer development therefore represents more than a technology upgrade: it is an example of how banks are embedding AI directly into the infrastructure through which investment products are designed, priced and managed.
