Aztec supports €1.1bn Highland Europe fund close as private markets demand grows

Aztec Group has supported Highland Europe on the €1.1 billion close of its latest technology growth fund, highlighting the growing operational requirements surrounding large-scale private-market fundraising.

Aztec Group has provided fund administration support to Highland Europe following the €1.1 billion close of its latest technology growth vehicle, as private-market managers continue to build larger and more sophisticated investment platforms.

Highland Europe Technology Growth VI LP is a Jersey-domiciled fund focused on backing European technology companies at the growth stage. Aztec has provided full administration services to Highland Europe from its Jersey office since 2012.

The latest close illustrates the increasingly important role played by fund administrators as private-market managers scale their strategies and investor bases.

Aztec’s services cover the operational infrastructure supporting Highland Europe’s fund, allowing the investment manager to focus on sourcing and managing investments while administration, reporting and other fund-level processes are handled by a specialist provider.

The close comes after a significant period of activity for Highland Europe. Aztec said the investment firm generated more than €1 billion of liquidity during 2026, while portfolio developments have included the $3 billion sale of software company Nexthink and the agreed sale of Huel to Danone.
